Finnish and Swedish in Vaasa
Finland has two official languages: Finnish and Swedish. Both languages are spoken in schools, shops and workplaces in Vaasa.
You can study Finnish or Swedish either in integration training or independently. Integration training is provided for adult immigrants who are covered by the Integration Act. Integration training is intended for unemployed jobseekers. The training lasts about a year and is free of charge. Applications for integration training are made through the TE-services office.
